On the edge of the Galloway Forest lies a traditional Mongolian yurt, a peaceful timber cabin and a cosy cottage. Set in 10 acres of tranquil garden, planted woodland, pasture and the River Cree, with a small army of rescue animals. Dark Sky Retreat offers 3 accommodation options, each well equipped, with super comfy beds, lovely views and a very warm welcome.

Cabin Under the Stars
Escape the pressures of everyday life and retreat to the solitude and peace of our rustic Scottish Larch cabin, complete with hot tub for gazing at the stars!
Traditional Mongolian Yurt
Hand crafted in Mongolia, stepping inside our Yurt and closing the door behind you is like entering a another world! With access to it's own private hot tub, sauna and plunge pool, it's the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Riverbank Cottage
Our cosy annex cottage has two bedrooms and is the perfect choice for longer stays in the Galloway area, or even as a stopover if you're heading further afield!
HOT TUBS AND SAUNA
Relax and soak under the stars in one of our hot tubs or warm your bones in our sauna before braving the cold plunge.
